Soyla for Codex

Review your social posts with Codex.Approve them when they’re ready.

Ask Codex to check a draft against your business facts, review its picture or request a new post. It reads and updates your Soyla account with your permission.

Prepare a post

Give Codex the facts behind the post.

Codex can read your saved business facts, writing guidance and calendar before sending a post request to Soyla.

“Read my business facts in Soyla and request a post about our new service. Show me the picture and caption when ready. Leave it in review.”

Soyla prepares the post. Ask Codex to check its progress and open the picture and caption when ready.

Connect with the CLI

Connect Soyla to Codex.

codex mcp add soyla --url https://v1.getsoyla.com/mcp
codex mcp login soyla

With Codex CLI installed, run both commands. Sign in through the browser and choose the brands and permissions to share.

Codex CLI and the IDE extension share MCP configuration on the same host. See the official Codex MCP guide for configuration options.

  1. Step 1: Check the connection

Run codex mcp list to see the configured Soyla entry. In the Codex terminal interface, /mcp shows active servers.

  2. Step 2: Choose a brand

Ask which Soyla brands are available, choose one, and ask for its posts.

  3. Step 3: Ask for a review or change

Name the post you want to review, edit or approve. Check the scheduled day before approving.

Connecting Soyla to Codex

How do I connect the Soyla MCP server to Codex?

Run codex mcp add soyla --url https://v1.getsoyla.com/mcp, then codex mcp login soyla. Finish the browser sign-in and choose the brands and permissions Codex may use.

Can I use the connection in the Codex IDE extension?

Yes. Codex CLI and the IDE extension share MCP configuration on the same host. Connect and sign in on the host where you run Codex.

Does a Codex task automatically approve every post?

No. Approval is a separate action requiring Soyla’s approval permission. Tell Codex which posts you want to approve and review the result. Approving authorizes Soyla to publish on the scheduled day.

What if the Soyla tools are missing?

Run codex mcp list to check that Soyla is configured, then use /mcp in the Codex terminal interface to inspect active servers. If authentication is needed, run codex mcp login soyla and finish the browser flow.
