How to use it

  1. Choose your photo

    Open a JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or GIF from your device. Keep the original: this tool creates a new picture and does not change the file you chose.

  2. Frame the circular crop

    Use Zoom to bring the subject closer, then move the horizontal and vertical sliders. Arrow keys adjust a focused slider. Add a border if you want an outline, and choose its thickness and colour.

  3. Download a transparent PNG

    Choose 256, 512 or 1024 pixels and download the PNG. Its corners are transparent. The checkerboard behind the preview is just a guide and is not included in your file.

Keeping your subject inside the circle

The circle removes the corners of the square crop. Keep faces, logos and lettering away from the outer edge. At 1× zoom a square source already fills the crop, so moving it has no effect until you zoom in. A small original can look soft when enlarged; use a larger photo when possible.

Uploading your profile picture

Apps decide how they display uploaded profile photos. A platform may apply another circular crop or show its own colour behind transparent pixels. Keep a little room around your subject and check the final upload before saving it. This tool does not connect to or update any account.

Common questions

Is the downloaded file really round?

The PNG file is square, with a circular picture and transparent corners. The checkerboard in the preview only shows transparency and is not part of your download.

Can I move the crop or add a border?

Yes. Use Zoom, Horizontal position and Vertical position to frame your photo. The sliders work with arrow keys. Choose a border thickness and colour if you want an outline.

Will it work as a profile picture everywhere?

Each app controls how it displays profile pictures. Some crop uploaded images again or replace transparent areas with their own background. Preview the upload in the app before saving it.

Do you upload or save my picture?

No. The photo is opened and cropped in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and the page does not keep your picture after you leave or refresh it.
