These numbers are how many suggestions the tool returns. The notes distinguish platform guidance, reported changes and our own choices. They do not predict reach or popularity.
Instagram
5 hashtags
Caption
Instagram announced a rollout to five caption hashtags in December 2025, as reported by Social Media Today. This tool returns five; follow any limit shown in your app.
TikTok
5 hashtags
Caption
This tool returns five tags. We have not verified a published TikTok hashtag limit, so follow the limit shown in your app.
LinkedIn
3 hashtags
End of the post
This tool returns three relevant topic tags. That is our choice of output length, not a LinkedIn limit or a prediction of reach.
X
2 hashtags
Inside the post
X recommends no more than two hashtags per post. This tool returns two. Hashtags count toward your post’s character limit.
Facebook
3 hashtags
End of the post
This tool returns three relevant tags to keep the set short. We do not measure whether a tag improves reach.
YouTube
5 hashtags
Description
YouTube may show up to three hashtags it considers most engaging by your video title. It does not promise to show the first three. More than 60 hashtags makes it ignore every hashtag on that video.
Pinterest
4 hashtags
Pin description
This tool returns four descriptive tags. The number is our choice, not a Pinterest requirement.
Every set comes back in this order. It is the only ordering here; nothing is ranked by how busy or how popular a tag is, because we have no data on either.
1
Broad
Names the trade or the subject. The words somebody types who does not know you exist.
2
Specific
Names what is actually in this post: the dish, the finished job, the colour.
3
Local
Your town plus your trade, for people searching in the area you serve.
Common questions
How many hashtags should I use?+
Use only tags that describe your post. This tool returns five for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, three for LinkedIn and Facebook, two for X, and four for Pinterest. These are output counts, not universal platform limits. The notes above distinguish published guidance, reported changes and our choices. Check the limit shown in your app before posting.
Where do the hashtags go?+
Use the caption on Instagram and TikTok, the end of the post on LinkedIn and Facebook, and the post itself on X. On YouTube and Pinterest, put them in the description. Hashtags use space within the platform’s text limit. Moving them into a comment is not a reliable way to work around a limit shown in your app.
Will hashtags get my post more views?+
Nobody can promise that, and we don’t. A hashtag labels what a post is about so it can be found by someone searching or browsing that word. It is not a lever you pull for reach. Instagram’s own reason for cutting the limit to five was that a caption stuffed with generic tags does not help.
Are these hashtags popular, trending, or easy to rank for?+
We don’t know, and we won’t pretend to. This tool has no post counts, no trend data and no competition data of any kind. Nothing is ranked, scored or ordered by anything except how broad it is. Before you lean on a set, search two or three of them in the app itself and see whether the posts that come up look like yours.
What should I type in the post description?+
Say what the post is about the way you’d tell a customer, and include one or two real details: the item, the date, the neighborhood, what you want people to do. “Winter espresso blend lands Friday, free tasting all morning” gets you better tags than “new coffee.”
Should I add my town or city?+
If you serve one, yes. It’s optional, but it is the field that turns a tag anyone in your trade could use into one about where you actually are, like #PortlandCoffee. Leave it blank if you sell everywhere, and the tool gives you no local tag.
Can I get hashtags in my own language?+
Not from this tool. It writes tags in Latin letters, digits and underscores only, so anything it hands you works the same way on all seven platforms. Instagram, TikTok and Facebook do accept other scripts, so if your customers search in Turkish, Arabic or Spanish, write those tags yourself and paste them alongside.
Is it free, and what happens to what I type?+
It’s free and there is no account. There is a daily limit so it stays available for everyone, and the tool tells you when to try again if you reach it. What you type is sent to Soyla’s generation service and its AI provider to write the hashtags, and the result stays available to the same browser session for 15 minutes. Leave out private customer information.
